The Favorite Hero I Never Collected

Maiden, I’ve got to say that the Iron Man flicks is fantastic! It’s been a while since I’ve been compelled to see a talkie a second time and IronMan has certainly dedicated me motivation to do so. In some ways, it’s a somewhat standard superhero story: principal is transformed from who they were, principal experiments to determine his capabilities, principal has some early trials, leading man has a showdown with a Big Bad. It’s intelligently written, there’s a lot of smaller dialog that no more than flows (maybe improvised?), and the force is not the over-the-top hyperkinetic style that has plagued a lot of actioners these days. Extra, the suit of armor is nicely comprehensive and at least movie-plausible in how it’s functioning. Watching Robert Downey Jr. be born into action as Tony Pure in the armor sent a thrill like I was seven years old again.

As a kid, I loved the view of Iron Man. He was like a pocket interpretation of the giant Japanese robot toys I serene. While it would be egregious to have a giant robot and Donnybrook against giant monsters, it upstanding seemed more practical to accept a briefcase with power livery easily on hand. I measly, I could never hope to require a Mazinger or a Combattra in my closet… but IronMan armor could toil! Yes, it would fit right next to my t-shirts and Luke Skywalker Dagobah fatigues. I would course over the Marvel Universe entries for IronMan and all the other powered armor heroes and villians: Crimson Dynamo, Titanium Man, Guardsmen and so on. My crusade for fictional stats would compensate spill over to ever loosely associated tech like the...
